From the desk of the Director General

The Centre for Heritage Studies was established with the vision of poineering research,education and training activities on tangible and intangible heritage of Kerala.
The centre is now actively initiating a number of programmes to promote heritage research and awareness.

The centre seeks to focus in the area of museums and exhibitions. The Malabar region of Kerala does not have enough museums. Therefore the Centre for Heritage 
Studies is undertaking special efforts to establish more museums in this region... local support.

The centre is taking initiatives to conserve the heritage of Kerala by creating awareness among the public, especially students and youth through new
courses and training programmes.
